“I first came to Everglades in 2022. I retired from the Air Force in 2019 and already had a Bachelor’s in Psychology from another institution. I found myself to be very bored post retirement and I love learning, so I decided to go back to school. I chose to pursue my Bachelor’s in Alternative Medicine because I’ve lived with chronic pain for several years and conventional medicine was not cutting it in terms of helping my situation. I wanted to learn alternative methods to care for myself and others. After finishing my Bachelor’s I chose to keep going by pursuing my Master’s in Public Health Administration with a Concentration in Functional Nutrition. My overall goal is to hopefully meet the requirements to obtain a position to teach online as a college professor.”
