Bachelor’s Degree in Crisis and Disaster Management
The major in Crisis and Disaster Management prepares students for careers in the public and private industries, including local and state government, healthcare and community services. Students will learn the skills necessary to help people cultivate and reestablish normal lives when crisis strikes.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) works together with our nation to build, sustain and improve the capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to and recover from all hazards. Several courses offered in this Crisis and Disaster Management program are required for specific FEMA certifications.
Emphasis is placed on communication skills, global awareness, management skills, critical thinking, theory, planning, management, response, relief, recovery and specific cases associated with public emergencies, disasters and catastrophes. A capstone course is available.
