“My admissions counselor was warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She was also very patient, and answered all of my questions because I had quite a few. She was very good at explaining the program, and what my expectations would be. She offered to follow up with me and even scheduled an appointment that was convenient for me. She has the perfect personality for this occupation, especially since she has her own life experience as a student and can offer a real world opinion, and knows what to focus on in helping future students know what to expect. “My name is Heather. I am a mom, an aircraft dispatcher, a private pilot, an animal lover, and will almost always be at the beach or near the water when I have free time! I am not a traditional student and many colleges simply do not fit me at this stage of my life. This is what brought me to the admissions office at Everglades. While I initially looked at Everglades University for an aviation degree, the Crisis and Disaster Management program has won me over. I hope to use it to advance my career in aviation but also to diversify my skills into other adventures as well. I am excited to start this journey!”
